Domesticity on Display
Laura took me to this neat exhibit on domesticity over the weekend. It's full of playful, ominous, macabre pieces that made me want to know more about gender theory. Totally worth the drive down to San Jose.
It also seems that my favorite piece at the show - a writhing, 33' couch intent on eating other household appliances - was created by Brian Goggin, the guy who plastered that building in SOMA with furniture. No pictures to be found of this new piece, but I did stumble onto his call for upholstery assistance.
